Are you really into pies or more a cake and cookie fiend?

For pie lovers in Oklahoma, we have some choices that will satisfy the most discerning sweet tooth out there. Here are a few of my commercially available pie dream chow downs. Of course my pies and my grandmother's specialities will always take the cake(pun intended).

Top choices if the OKC Metro area for Pie Fans:

*Pie Junkie: My favorite is the buttermilk pie that is loaded with rhubarb(Love a rhubarb pie), blackberries, strawberries and a dreamy cinnamon apple crumble top! It's about as home made grandma approved as you can get around our neck of the woods. My husband is crazy about Key Lime Pie at Red Rock Canyon Grill by Lake Hefner and the Pie Junkie offers him great pleasure by taking a spin on that dish with their Macadamia Crusted Key Lime Pie. This place has Pie in it's business name for a reason…go there and learn why!

*Bricktown Brewery: You think I'm kidding you? NO! If you are dancing and wining and dining in Bricktown and want some great pie, then walk over to the Bricktown Brewery and try their pecan pie. You wouldn't expect a Brew Pub to have a great dessert like this, but it really is good. Served with a healthy scoop of blue bunny vanilla bean ice cream. This is a must-have foodie experience!

*La Baguette Bistro & Bakery: Love the North May location and the atmosphere and service. Sunday Brunch and amazing and the cakes, pies and pastry shop is wonderful, especially if you have a last minute birthday party to supply a cake or pie for and need quality and great taste. Chocolate mousse cake is a must have! For pies, go with Chocolate Pecan Bourbon Pie, Pumpkin Pie, and the marvelous Raspberry and Cream.

*Charlestons and Red Rock Canyon Grill: Same ownership, but locally owned. I absolutely love the Lake Hefner view from the patio of Red Rock and you will love the classic Key Lime Pie there!

Don't wait for National Pie Day to roll around a year from now and find that you haven't sampled these bakery delights. Make your way to one of my recommended pie joints and ask for plenty of napkins to clean up with after..and don't do the pie feast on a first date either!
