The Plaza District in Oklahoma City
I’ve had a lot of fun touring the fun areas in OKC. Great time to live in Oklahoma City and The Plaza District in Oklahoma City is a great area to explore.
One of the best places there to explore is a restaurant called Oak and Oar. They have a really unusual concept on beer that I like. They have 36 beers on tap and the selection is always rotating which which means you’re never going to run out of beer selections here.
What I really like about the restaurant is the unique appetizers, salads, and the great sandwiches they have there. It’s really a great dining experience.
Here’s my recommendation for the best thing to eat there. Chicken nachos! They use a Plantain Taro Root seasoning which is flavored wonderfully. If you’ve ever had kettle potato chips for a side you’ll love their chip, so make sure you check out the Oak and Oar in the Plaza District is soon as possible.
Another of my current favorites? Buttery flakey biscuit holding delicious fried chicken meat drizzled in honey and incredible to behold.. If that didn’t make your mouth water and salivate, I don’t know what will. It’s a very unique find in OKC and a great addition to The Plaza District. What was so perfect about this dish is the simplicity. No extra sauces, no artisan this or that, just great amazing simple (but really really good) food that pairs so well with your beer. You WON’T be hungry after leaving this joint! And you won’t be thirsty!
YES! Don’t forget those 36 beers on the wall!
